Course Description:
A hands-on, industry-aligned Graphics Designing course that teaches visual communication, digital image editing, vector illustration, layout and print design, basic UI/UX, and entry-level motion graphics. The course balances theory (color, typography, composition) with daily practical studio work using industry tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, After Effects intro). By course end students deliver a marketable portfolio, real client mockups, and receive an ECTI certification.
Course Information:
Duration: 6 months (24 weeks) — Monday to Friday, 1 hour daily (Morning / Evening shifts available)
Eligibility: Minimum Matriculation (or equivalent). Basic computer literacy.

Course Content

Month 1 — Foundations & Visual Language
Introduction to design thinking; principles of design (balance, contrast, hierarchy); color theory and psychology; typography fundamentals; basic composition and layout; file formats, resolution & color modes (RGB/CMYK). Short weekly sketches & moodboard exercises.Month 2 — Raster Imaging with Adobe Photoshop
Photo editing, retouching, masking and composites; working with layers, smart objects; selections, color correction, brushes; compositing for social posts and banners; export settings for web/print. Mini-project: promotional poster.Month 3 — Vector Graphics with Adobe Illustrator
Vector fundamentals, pen tool mastery, shapes, paths; logo design process and branding basics; iconography and scalable illustrations; preparing vector files for print & web. Mini-project: brand logo + style tile.Month 4 — Layout & Print Design (Adobe InDesign + Practical Print Prep)
Multi-page layout, grids and modular systems, editorial design (flyers, brochures, catalogs), business stationery, packaging basics, bleed/margins and prepress checklist. Mini-project: 8-page brochure + print-ready export.Month 5 — Digital Design & UI Fundamentals (Figma + Responsive basics)
UI/UX principles, user flows, wireframing, high-fidelity mockups, prototyping, responsive considerations for social and web. Design systems and handoff basics for developers. Mini-project: landing page mockup + interactive prototype.Month 6 — Motion Basics, Portfolio & Professional Practice
Intro to motion graphics and GIFs (After Effects basics), animated social ads, exporting video assets. Career module: freelancing, pricing, client briefs, project workflow, contracts. Capstone: client-style project (brand identity + web mockup + animated ad) and portfolio assembly + critique and presentation.
Assessments & Deliverables: Weekly assignments, mid-term project (end of Month 3), final capstone (Month 6). Continuous portfolio updates and a final portfolio review with certificate on successful completion.
